1. Make sure the jeep wrangler body is flat

1.Make sure the body is flat.

Remove the contents of the rear compartment and subtract the excess weight. Make sure the tire pressure in all tires is at the manufacturer's recommended level. If possible, get someone to sit in the driver's seat and make sure the fuel tank is half full. Also, the headlight adjustment wheel (if any) must be in the zero position

2.Set the car up.

Park the car on a flat surface, about 3 to 4.6 meters from a dark wall or garage door, with the front of the car facing the wall. It is best to park in a parking lot with a level surface or on a flat driveway.
Press the corners of the car several times to make sure the shock absorbers are not tilted.
Measure the distance between the ground and the 2 headlights to make sure the suspension is level.

3.Set the car up

Counting up from the ground, these intermediate lines should not be more than 1.1 meters high.

5.Back up the car until it is 7m-6m away from the wall or garage door.

Turn off the headlights. Remove the headlight trim ring and locate the adjustment screws. They are usually attached to the headlights, however, some manufacturers place the adjustment screws in the engine unit behind the headlights. There will be a mark on them indicating which one is the horizontal adjuster (adjusts left and right) and which one is the vertical adjuster (adjusts height).
Follow the specifications in the owner's manual, some manufacturers recommend a different distance than the general specifications.
There should be a screw above the headlight to adjust the beam height. There is another screw next to the headlight to adjust the angle of the beam left and right. Some cars may use a bolt instead of a screw.

6.Adjust the lights on each side separately.

When adjusting and testing the headlights on one side, remember to block the other headlight with a sweatshirt or other object, otherwise it will be difficult for you to distinguish between the two lights. When making adjustments, find someone to sit in the driver's seat and work with you to turn the lights on and off.

7.Turn the screw or bolt above to adjust the beam height.

Turning clockwise should adjust the lights higher, while turning counterclockwise will adjust them lower.
Once adjusted, turn on the lights and see how the beam changes position on the wall. The strongest beam should be flush with the middle line you just marked, or a little lower.

8.Turn the screw or bolt next to it to adjust the left and right angle of the light beam.

Now, adjust the left and right angle of the light in the same way. The strongest beam should be focused to the right of the vertical line.

9.Test the adjusted headlights on the road.

Drive the car on the road and test the headlights to make sure they are properly adjusted. If necessary, you can repeat the above steps to adjust the headlights again.
