Power Stabilization Relay Harness
A component of HID. A power line that draws power directly from the battery and stabilizes the supply voltage to the bulb.
Dry Firing (No-Load Operation)
Refers to a lighting check. After installation is performed to the point where the lights can be turned on, the bulb is left outside the light unit, rather than being inserted, and is lit in this state.
Bulb Failure Warning Light
A warning light that notifies you when a headlight bulb has burned out.
Lumens
The amount of light emitted by a bulb. It is a numerical value indicating the brightness of a light source.
It's good to remember that lumens represent the capacity of the light source (the origin). In the case of the illustration above, light is emitted in every direction, and the total is 3000 lumens. Lumens are not a measure of the brightness of the light itself but are an effective unit for comparing the performance of the light-emitting body.
Reflector
A headlamp mechanism that gathers and projects light forward using a reflective surface. The bulb is visible from the outside.
Voltage
The unit of measurement for voltage. General passenger cars use 12V. Larger vehicles, such as trucks and buses, use 24V.
Projector
A headlamp mechanism that enlarges and projects light through a lens.
Fins
Components used to dissipate heat. By attaching small metal pieces, the surface area is increased to promote natural heat exchange.

Bulb

Hyper Flash
Hyper Flash" refers to the phenomenon of rapid flashing, a feature designed to alert the driver that a turn signal bulb has burnt out. When hyper flashing occurs, the turn signal flashes more quickly than normal. This can happen when a bulb is burnt out, but it can also occur after switching to LED bulbs due to differences in power consumption, necessitating measures to prevent hyper flashing. There are two main solutions: changing the flashing relay to one compatible with LEDs or adding a resistor to the turn signal wiring to increase power consumption and adjust the flashing speed. Candela
Candela
Applicable Product: A unit that represents the intensity of light projected in a specific direction. In the case of cars and motorcycles, it refers to the brightness when the light passes through the headlight (lamp housing).
Candela indicates the intensity of the light flux, and the higher the value, the brighter the light. Although diagram A and B use the same bulb, the number of light flux units that reach the measurement point differs. This number of light flux units is indeed what constitutes the brightness of the light unit. Notably, the candela value is what is measured during vehicle inspections.

A device used to connect wiring.

Cut Line
Applicable Product: Part of the light distribution, abbreviated as the cut-off line. It refers to the boundary line between the illuminated and non-illuminated parts.

Wattage
Refers to power consumption. The lower the value, the more vehicle-friendly it is considered. Ampere times Volt equals Watts (power consumption).
There are two types of watts: the unit for radiant flux energy of light, denoted as "W," and the unit for electrical power, also denoted as "W." Generally, the latter is referred to. Wattage measures the electrical power consumed by a light source. If the luminous efficiency (lm/W) is the same, it can be a criterion for judging the capability of the light source. The luminous efficiency of LEDs is about 200 lm/W.
